25 Tennessee Volunteers Drafted So Far During Vitello Era

Wasn’t there like 55 rounds in the draft at one point.

I think Mike Piazza was drafted in the 63rd round.

Then, more recently, forty rounds. COVID dropped it to five rounds for one year. Then it became twenty rounds under the mismanagement of Manfred which eliminated forty two minor league teams.

What types of teams usually get the #1 overall pick? Can't seem to recall how they decide that.....
Yes we sucked in the 80s but from the 90s through the early 2000s we were arguably the best organization in the sport that didn’t have to buy all their players (ie Yankees). And now we have been at the top for past few years again. When was the Yankees last championship again 🤔

Maui is the only guy drafted this year who hasn’t signed yet. The deadline is tomorrow evening… is it possible he doesn’t sign, and could return to Tennessee? I believe he still has a year or two of eligibility.

has a year, and I’d take him back in a jiffy…….really came on strong at the end of the year (injury free?) and with a year of SEC play under his belt, he’d do great next year IMO
