I don't comment much but here goes:
1. Warlick has been promoted beyond her ability. She is an assistant coach.
2. The players do not respect her coaching ability.
3. Future success of the the Lady Vols basketball is in serious doubt.

"It may be mental," Warlick said of Tennessee's struggles in the final minutes of close games. "I think we just continue to work on it in practice. We've just got to keep getting better. We've got to keep putting them in situations, and just hopefully they get it."

Holly made this comment before the bama game. I think this one comment says it all.

Peter Principle. The biggest flaw was not realizing that she had begun to lose control and taking immediate steps to rectify it.

When does HW finally get it and step down. This program is dying a slow and painful death. I didn't think it could get much worse, then last night happened. 17n points in the fist half, 3 in the second quarter. Unf..kingbelievable!

What would be great (which I don't think would happen) would be someone like Geno saying he doesn't like what is happening with Tennessee Basketball! And about how Pat being a pioneer of the women's game she should not have to witness everything she built be destroyed. That would be the wake up call for Hart and these Holly worshipers!

unfortunately I'm sure Geno loves what is happening to our program.

The season from hell is upon us and things could really get worse next season if we can't get new leadership.

Just think recently Holly said she would like to play Geno. That would have been the worst embarrassment of all time. I do not think she has a brain. Bird brain!!!!

If they stay a #9 seed and Creme is right that they are #36 in the field, then Holly will get her wish

The question is whether or not a likely 71 point blowout is worth the .000000001% chance that the team comes together, plays to their potential, and halts Breanna's 4-peat on UConn's home floor? Oh, one can dream~

I know all about Holly's problems, but can someone please tell me what the heck Lockwood, Law, and Elzy are doing through all this?!!
Holly is the HC and takes ultimate responsibility but her three assistants are seasoned veterans and are working with these players on a daily basis and this is just as much their dumpster fire as it is Holly's.
People say she isn't an alpha personality, so any one of the assistants should be able to speak up and work on these issues too. Have they quit on the team as well or on Holly?

Just saying, this is a coaching staff, not a one man band - if they have anything to offer has anyone seen any sign of it?

That's the problem, I don't think any of them are much better. If you have tape of last night's game. I said this in another thread.... ESPN spent a lot of time showing Diamond on the bench. And in a lot of those shots, there wasn't one coach on that bench giving her any instructions that I could see. Like talking to her and pointing to spots on the floor like coaches do or drawing something on the board while talking to her. It's like you turned it over so sit and stew.... The assistants are just as guilty and bad too.... So it's not going unnoticed.

Something else I noticed. One of the announcers said last night that Lockwood had done a great job coaching Lady Vol centers over the years. I see nothing or none of that with Russell. Her core strength is weak because she gets pushed around a lot by smaller players in the post. And there were times that she allowed smaller players to alter her shot or push her off her shot. The Lady Vols bigs in the past were more fluent and stronger in the post then Russell is. So I don't see what Lockwood is doing....

Guess that "Working Like Heck" didn't get the job done, eh?

I agree, that would be THE worst Tennessee loss of All time.

This is where Holly is so lost. Sure the Lady Vols collapse in close games, but the real question is "Why are we in close games against bad teams?"

The biggest flaw was not having the know how to rectify it. I think she absolutely realized she was losing control but didn't know how to fix it.

I disagree with one part of your statement, it is not slow just painful.

You're more likely to find Kim Mulkey make a statement like this than Geno. Kim loves and respects Pat as a mother type figure and has a healthy respect for the history and future of the game. In fact, Kim has never been one to bite her tongue. If it could help what Pat built, I wish Kim would step up to the mic and speak her mind.
