DEVELOPING: Three people are dead after a shooting Friday on the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a spokesman said, and a suspect is in custody, according to local media reports.

As many as 10 people were reported shot. The conditions of the wounded were unknown.

A woman reportedly was arrested, but police have yet to release details about the suspect.

I read somewhere that during the meeting the accused was told she was going to be denied tenure. I guess she became very upset.

She was a PhD Harvard graduate according to local H'ville news. Husband also arrested. Very unusual for a woman to woman to commit such an act.

I grew up in Huntsville, still have lots of family there. My mom told me the news up there is that this woman that did this grew up in Massachusetts and killed her own brother 20 years ago and the charges were dropped. Wonder how the DA feels about that now?
