I just don't buy another animal doing it. Put up a cougar, black bear, or a wolf and even add rabies to the mix and I still don't see one animal killing 3 horses and 2 dogs at the same time or in the same night. The instincts and nature simply don't add up. This reeks of depraved human behavior, sadly.

That’s what I’m thinking too. It doesn’t make any sense for it to have been an animal. The part about the throats being torn open make me think that if it was a human, it’s one messed up individual.

Investigators Do Not Believe Large Cat Killed Monroe Co. Animals | LEX18.com

They are now saying that they don't believe it was a cat that did it. Setting up trail cams to see what turns up. It will interesting to see what the find out.
They sheriff calls BS and says the animals were indeed killed by another animal.

A large cat? paw print was found next to the horse that was killed by the pond.

They also have pics a mtn lion in the area.

I do agree with coug about the nature of animals killing and not dragging their kill off.

Maybe she had cub close by?

The pit bull did survive the attack.

My mother in law is convinced she saw a mountain lion in my backyard a few weeks ago. We do get a random bobcat but she says this had a long swaying tail.
