Does Bruce Pearl coach our guys to jack up so many 3 pointers? Every time we start to get back into a game, Chism or somebody else throws up a terrible 3. We had KY's entire team in foul trouble last night and could have stayed in the game if we continued to attack the basket. I have to believe that Pearl encourages the 3 ball or there would be no reason why he wouldn't bench players for relying so much on long range shooting. With Pearl's pressing style of defense, it doesn't make sense for our guys not to take it to the hole and get contact to set up the press after a made FT. WTF is the point of being more athletic than everybody else if we don't use it?
Also, this flex offense is crap. We stand around until somebody lobs up a bad shot and our spacing is terrible. Our guys look lost on offense without some kind of consistent gameplan and we don't have the ability to manufacture points when we have to have them. I'm just really not understanding why Bruce isn't having us play to our strengths.
