Personally id rather use the spot on an instant contributor from the portal rather than a 2-3 year projectI guess we’ll see.
He went to camp and impressed our coaches.
But there are actually still a ton of guys out there still being overlooked that will always show up 3 years later in the portal after being All- Conference somewhere else.
Crazy to think that Jermond McCoy was in the same class as Ricky Gibson and Jordan Matthew’s.
Kid was never on our radar before he decided to leave Oregon State
You do your best with what you got…Personally id rather use the spot on an instant contributor from the portal rather than a 2-3 year project
Jake Ganus has shown he’s deserving of moving up. Him and his family are set for life so coaching is a passion project for him. I’m not sure if he has ambitions of becoming a college coach or not but if he does he’ll be joining a staff sometime soon. Honestly would love to see him back at UABWhich is why it’s not a bad thing to take a guy with good measurables from a school like that
Now, how long will their coach be there? We’ll see
Had him on my podcast earlier this year, right after he committed and he is a well spoken, good kid. Athletic and smart from what I've been told by people around and close to that football program down there.I watched 1 half of his game in person. Kid was the best athlete on the field. Based on what I saw purely on his athletic ability, I am 100% confident that using a scholarship for this kid is the right thing. He just has to put the game together mentally but athletically he is very gifted.
