On February 14, 1987, basketball legend, Tony White, set the Vols all-time single-game scoring record with a 51-point outburst against the Auburn Tigers.

I remember John Ward's play by play call of the game. Made you feel as though you were actually sitting in Stokley, especially if you were familiar with the gym.

He and lofton the two most unconscious shooters to wear orange. You could have 3 people on Tony and he’s still getting his points.

While I didn't witness the record game, I did see him go for 49 against FSU on 12/30/86 in the Red Lobster Classic at the Orlando Civic Center.
God, guy could absolutely tear it up!

I remember that game I was just a kid back then but loved Tony White he was a great player.
The other day I was going through some of my old newspaper clippings from HS football and baseball; I found a rap song that I had written with a mention of Tony White. lol
