An excellent article and some quotes in there by Danny White are so open and honest coming from an AD. I was impressed.
That has to be one of the worst pictures of Coach Caldwell available.
Photo selection envy. 😉🤙🏼

Telling statements, maybe insight to some issues that existed before Kim got here:

"The amount of stuff we did, I've never really done ever," Puckett said. "It definitely prepared us mentally because you have to think about how you're going to win in that instance, and push yourself to go as hard as you can, so that you put your team in the best position to do well."

"She's already establishing the standard of what it's like to play at Tennessee," senior guard Jewel Spear said.

That Puckett quote. Woof. God bless her, I know she’d never intentionally throw Kellie under the bus, but…

Did she really, though?

The way I read it, paraphrasing ...In order to play Kim's style, we had to work out hard. Doing things I never had to do before. Now, we're mentally and physically ready to win using this new system.
Yeah, paraphrasing doesn’t really help. She admitted they weren’t mentally or physically prepared under Kellie. Jmo

That was my first thought when I opened the story to read; it looked like she had gained weight. Then I realized why when finding out she was pregnant.

I emailed the writer stating that while her article was a good one, the picture left much to be desired. I also pointed out it might not be a good idea to leave the picture choice to a bunch of Uconn grads in Bristol.

Think it'll be changed?

There are only so many photos to use trying to keep Becca attractive. 😉

This describes the SC loss in SEC tournament: "It definitely prepared us mentally because you have to think about how you're going to win in that instance

Danny pretty much articulated what I told a few people who questioned the hire. Yes, it's a risk, but you could hire anyone at Tennessee if all you want to do is get to the NCAA tournament every year and maybe win a game or two. Kellie could have done that for 20 more years if that is all you want.

But Danny wants more banners and so does everyone else. And you can't hire Geno, Dawn, or Kim Mulkey--you have to go through them. If you want to get this program back where it belongs, you have to find the next great coach, and to find her, you have to be willing to take a chance.
