Spencer Strider question

I recently came across a post on Facebook where Strider was the player of the year in Tennessee from CAK in 2017 I believe. He would have signed with Clemson before Tony was hired but does anybody remember his recruitment? Was he a late bloomer or did he just not have interest in Tennessee?

Vol baseball was not in a very good place at that time. I doubt he even considered Tennessee.

As a Braves fan I love the guy. I didn’t know he was from Knoxville and was curious about his recruitment

Go back and listen to @preacherman20 and Kirby’s podcasts. One of my favorite parts was when they would ask each Tennessee player who they rooted for as a kid. I don’t remember the final results but rarely were they a Tennessee baseball fan growing up.

Spencer was a late bloomer, and had some injury issues. Obviously, worked out pretty good for him.
