IMO this story is interesting not because he was fired (sounds like the bullying allegations are a convenient way to fire him with cause because they were horrible the last 2 seasons) but because he was fired by the GM, Andrew Luck. Not only are more and more schools going to create these types of roles but in this case one had the power to fire the head coach. The statement is completely from Luck and not the AD at all.

What transfers can we get
We don't want any. They were baaaaadddd

They had 1 WR 2nd team all ACC. He will be a junior. Had decent stats but nothing that stands out. And that was it.

They didnt have a single player in the 92 player honorable mention. Yes the honorable mention list includes 92 ACC players, but none from Stanford.

Their struggles over the last several years really highlight how incredible what Harbaugh and Shaw (who continued it for several years after Harbaugh left) did there. The best team in school history was probably the 2015 one, who was coached by Shaw 5 years after Harbaugh left and after Andrew Luck. There's no good reason why Stanford should be any good at football (especially as a member of the ACC), but they had a great run there for a while.
