Duke men’s basketball spent almost half that on last year’s team. How’d that work out?
Don’t know where you got that #. Cooper Flagg got $28 million by himself, but that was legit NIL $ from New Balance, New Era, Gatorade and AT&T, not just Duke’s compensation.

It was also not a great season by Duke’s standards because they only went to the Final 4.

tamu isn't spending 50 million of their money either.

the revenue share is capped at 20 million. that is the most the school itself can contribute now. it was 0 in the past. the rest of that 30 million is coming from various donor/NIL deals.

That comatose giant in College Station will wake up some day. Don't know if Elko is good enough to be that HC that puts it all together. Might require a better coach. Their coaching staffs have not been above average.

The way I read this is that it was all paid out before revenue sharing kicked in. That's a result of all the front-loading of deals that happened recently.
