Here is DeBoner talking about the injuries this afternoon.

Ahead of Alabama football's rivalry game against Tennessee Saturday, Oct. 18, coach Kalen DeBoer shared the injury status of a handful of players after the Crimson Tide's win against Missouri.

Both wide receiver Derek Meadows and running back Jam Miller are in concussion protocol after in-game injuries against Missouri.

Linebacker Cayden Jones had surgery to repair an ankle injury and will be "down for awhile."

Wide receiver Jaylen Mbakwe has a hand injury and is working his way back, while wide receiver Jalen Hale was sick.

Alabama will take on Tennessee at 6:30 p.m. CT Saturday on ABC.

Hate for any player to succumb to an injury midseason, but glad to know that The Vols are not the only team with injured players

I didn't realize until now he's (Miller) only played in their last 3 games. He was out for broken collar bone it sounds like earlier.

He may play but he was out cold. Your brain doesn’t recover from that in a week.
Forget about the game - the young man should not play if he was knocked out cold.

I still get chills seeing Tua going down twice for Miami. The 1st was brutal but the next time was bad, too. The brain can only take so much.

Forget the concussion, it's my opinion that Miller shouldn't play whether he's healthy or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They only average 3.7 yards a carry rushing. Their game plan will be to rely on Simpson and those receivers. Miller is irrelevant to their strategy and they have other talent
That average will go up when they play us. Id say advantage us if we get to pin the ears back and rush the passer a lot. I doubt thats gonna be Deborer's strategy though. He knows he needs to keep the ball away from our offense.

Can Banks come up with a plan to pressure Simpson, yet maintain some resemblance of coverage on their WR's?

My concern is if we go zone against him, we're toast.

Yea, he was definitely knocked out for a few seconds - his body went limp and the ball just rolled out…I think he’s very questionable. Nowadays the medical staff has pretty much complete control and concussions are taken much more seriously than in the past…

I don't see Jam playing. He was knocked out cold late in the game. I'd bet he's out at least 3 weeks.
And Bama is more of a passing team so it’s not as big of a blow…Simpson is completing 70% of his passes and has only thrown 1 interception…and we’re dead last in pass defense. They may just run occasionally to let Simpson rest his arm..
