LSU Coaching Vacancy....

Saban ain't coming back to coaching. He had equal resources at Bama and a loaded team when he left.

The same rumors come out about Bob Stoops ever recruiting cycle it seems like. Nothing ever happens.

Urban Meyer is far more likely to come back than Saban.

You know its important business down in Cajun country when this foosball stuff is more important when the governor gets involved and deems any other issue as irrelevant haha. In the SEC,it just means more lol.

Nick Saban said the other day it didn't make any sense to him but suggested "Mrs. Terry" wanted him to consider it. He said a lot of money was being floated out to him. But he has a much easier job and he's making so much money off of investments and endorsements. He left because NIL/Portal ended the advantage he had that let him amass rosters full of elite talent with depth no other school could match.

Do you see him building that at any open jobs? Any that might come open? The only job I could potentially see him considering would be Texas if they move from Steve Sarkisian. It's a mystery to me why his roster looks the way it does. He's getting out-physicalled on the LOS by teams that shouldn't happen against.

I suppose some would take the LSU money and run knowing there’s a golden parachute when they get fired. However considering the situation and the involvement of the governor, one would have to be a fool to get in the middle of that 💩 show. Especially if you are already making $8 to $10 million a year already in a relatively stable situation. (I’m using the term “stable” very loosely knowing every coaching situation can change on short notice.) But the LSU situation seems especially dysfunctional.

They are trying to make the hiring of Pruitt look organized and well executed

To put this in perspective. Heupethically, we have a coaching search happening. Would you want Danny White and Donde Plowman to be in on it, or the Governor overriding their picks? I think the internal folks have a much better handle (unless the AD is Hamilton and the Chancellor Cheek, then I'd go to the Gov)

Best part of it was the governor throwing Scott Woodward under the bus for signing Jimbo to that massive extension. Only problem is Woodward was already the AD in Baton Rouge when Jimbo signed that extension.
Correct. Woodward signed him to the 10 year, $75 million deal

The Texas A&M BOR approved the extension in 2021. Woodward left in '19.

Too much fun, money and girls to be had down here in Austin to keep those boys focused on football.

I'd tell Mrs. Terry to go buy a new car to keep her happy and drop the crazy talk.

Underrated comment. At least it’s not UT going through this for once.
