I did a double take when I saw Kentucky and Louisville are playing tonight on ESPN. That game used to be appointment viewing on CBS around Christmas every year, and now it's relegated to a Tuesday night in the middle of football season?

How the mighty have fallen.

I’ve always enjoyed this series. Super intense both on the court and in the stands. Hard to believe the Cards have won only 3 of the last 17 meetings between the two.

I would watch it but I’m starting to come to terms with the fact I’m going to miss a large chunk of the first part of the season due to the Disney/YouTube dispute.
Why not switch? None of these have contract, I gave YTTV a couple days and I was out, actually saved a few bucks by cancelling and switching. I had no interest in keeping YTTV and missing arguably the best time of year for sports.

I refuse to reward Disney. This is more on them than YT, although neither are blameless. So I’m not switching to FUBO or Hulu and lining Disney’s pockets, and I’m not a big fan of Sling TV, so I’m basically out of options. I’ll just wait.

Wait until what? YTTV and Disney reach agreement and they raise their prices? Not being argumentative I just don’t see a “right” outcome, you sticking with YTTV is the same in the end when they undoubtedly reach an agreement. At the end of the day ESPN is gonna get their money, they’ll come to an agreement and the customer will have to pay if they are going to watch sports.

I'm sure you can find someone streaming the game on YouTube anyway. Just search for it on there.

I'm just hoping to fire up the Kentucky lost thread tonight.

That’s a great series. I was fortunate to go to their meeting at Stokely Center in the 1983 NCAA tournament. Lancaster Gordon was the hero that day for Louisville in OT.
One of the most compelling NCAA Tournament games ever. I've been fortunate enough to attend this game a dozen or so times over the years. Great basketball, but I'll admit it's not much fun to be there in person anymore because the fans are so hostile toward each other.

I was given a special press credential at my frat house and was down on the floor pre-game. Took some great pics of the players. Rodney and Scooter McCray were dudes…

One of the best games I’ve ever witnessed in person…
