I have truly enjoyed watching Aguilar play. He’s good. He’s tough. He’s thankful. And, it is something of a miracle he could come in and master a complex offense to such an extent he has kept us close in every game and is listed among the nation’s top quarterbacks.

It could have been far, far (far) the other way.

I see where folks are discussing “maybe he could come back for another year…”

That seems to be baiting a trap. After about the second interception, the couch cats would be on the mouse (and keyboard): “hey, dumb coaches, dump him, play the freshman.”

Even so, cruel world, he’s been so good, I bet with another year, he might even be better.

Don't believe there is path for him to play another season of CFB.
If Diego got a fourth year of non Juco eligibility as allowed by the courts, Joey should be able to get HIS fourth as well. At least that is the explanation I have seen. But I am definitely not qualified to know the answer

If he does decide to challenge I would go to the same judge in middle TN that ruled for Diego. He’s going to get at least 2 mil next year if he’s able to return. I myself would be very happy if he decided to challenge. But if he has other aspirations, I wish him nothing but the best.

I could see him testing the NFL waters, and if the prospects don't look too good for a decent draft, he might consider coming back for an even better season on film, and for NIL money. His age is going to hurt him for NFL consideration in the future, though.

The precedent is there, he just has to go the Pavia route and he will get another year. It just comes down to if he really wants to and will CJH bring him back.

I would think it comes down to $$$. If he doesn't get a decent draft grade, he should challenge the NCAA in the same court where Pavia filed and collect the NIL $$$. If he does get a decent draft grade--he gone.

He stated this is his last year and he hopes to play at the next level.

I think when he sees his mock draft position he might reconsider. He didn’t get nearly the visibility his stats deserved. Next season , TN would have enough material to start a Heisman campaign for JA

I think Joey has stated a few weeks ago this is it for him and he won't be playing CFB again
...and he certainly won't be playing on Sundays. His decision making and costly red zone turnovers have probably jaundiced pro scouts. I certainly appreciate what he has done and wish he could move up. I just don't see that happening.
