SC has been a hot mess this year. Their OL is bad, very bad. Sellers hasn't looked good but he has zero support. He could be a monster in Heupel's offense.

Yes, "hire" is the correct term here. I think Sellers will be a hot commodity, Heupel should still pull out all the stops to bring him to Knoxville for 2026.

A glorified running back at QB is not a fit for Heupel's system.

We don't need an awful QB who is also an idiot

I liked Sellers last year and thought he and DJ Lagway would both have breakout seasons but this year has shown that last season was an abnormality…

So is GMAC not gonna be the guy next year? I’m curious bc seeing him I don’t see how he gains the weight needed to be safely compete in the sec.

If he were I think Heupel would be doing something, anything, to get him some meaningful reps and he hasn’t done so.

Sellers can’t make the decisions needed. He’s a run first Joe Milton

And I loved Joe. But he couldn’t run our offense effectively because he lacked awareness and decision making.

This isn't a slight to Aguilar, but Joey A is having a slightly better year than Milton's 2023. Unless Aguilar goes on a heater these last two games, they are going to end up around the same total TD's (27 for Milton), Aguilar will have slightly more total yards per game to Milton's, and Milton will have less turnovers than Aguilar (Milton's 5 INTs to Aguilar's 10 INTs currently)

2023 and 2025 are parallels of each other it seems.

Sellers has less than 10 INTs.
With young men you can get Jekyll or Hyde. Sometimes all these guys need is an offseason to really learn and grow into their role sometimes more. Just depends. Sellers has the physical gifts for sure.

Good point but maybe he kept JA in bc he knew the team needed to “wake up,” after the bye week.

So these stats are actually better than Hendon Hookers stats in 2020

Hendon Hooker 2020
1343 yards 9 TDS 5 INTS

Hendon Hooker 2021
3000 yards 31 TDs 2 ints

Hooker didn't play at Tennessee in 2020. #FactsMatter

This would be a home run. And then recruit it the 2027 guy and let Faizon and GMAc battle for the starting gig in 2027. You would still hav 3 QBs for 2027
