Barker in her recent interview on the podcast offered a statement about the LVs versus her other two university experiences. The women were considered equals!

I've been following the LVs since the beginning - I saw Holly actually play point guard. AND I've listened to many radio shows where men railed against giving any "tuition" money to that minor women's sport. And the veiled comments even today from more than a few infrequent TN fans whether it be the "rumor" taking NIL money from baseball, or many of the holier than thou 800 comments the thread of a dismissed LV.

I applaud and appreciate the insight of those boarders I read who understand equality. (I'll admit having blocked more than a few )

the reason for the thread is for Barker being on a respected, equal team with a major loving fan base was for her a great positive. and to support the LVs, unfortunately at a distance over half my life-time is a pleasure and an honor.

I agree 100% with the sentiment you so eloquently expressed in the other three paragraphs.

I understand your blowing off some steam at those “under rock dwellers” that crawled in to express their fears when the rocks were shaken in the baseball forum, and across VolNation in general, when Coach Vitello announced he was accepting the MLB manager’s role for the San Francisco Giants.

Just not sure they belong in the same post.

Do we have a shot at being good this year? It seemed like it preseason because of the incoming talent and trajectory from last year, but it's been underwhelming so far. Would love to see a return to the glory days!

Very young, hopefully this is a team that hits its stride and peaks in February.
