Where did that expression come from?
Somehow, if someone has been “drinking kool-aid,” they have been flummoxed by a legion of sneaky and usually pretty dumb brain washers; but mostly the way I hear it used, it is simply this: “y’all do not agree with me because you have been listening to people who do not agree with me and they got’cha fooled because they should agree with me .. and so on, ad infinitum …”
Rarely do I hear it ciphered along with data and logic and the reasonable give and take of profitable discussion.
But, maybe it’s a good argument lever all by itself. No fulcrum needed. No weight neither.
Kool-aid is a real king pin.
And, if anyone thinks different, name your flavor ….
