Offensively this has been a pretty exciting year. Nico in 2024 added a nice run element. Okay pass element.
Joey in 2025 has been those in reverse. 3,000 yards and almost 30 TDs with two more games to play.

If Faizon is the best option, he will have
Veteran Oline.
Veteran WRs
Veteran RBs
Year 4 Ethan Davis and year 2 of the Dorsealer and Brame.

And I said he was good enough a HS junior to be the starting QB at Tennessee.
Hype. All Hype for the moment.

But what about defense? Some nice pieces, but they really need the portal at DT and safety IMO.

* Been watching Faizon for 2 years now. He controls the flow of the game. Yes he can pass for 350 and 4 TDs. Or he can pass for 200 1 TD and rush for 100 yards and 3 TDs on the ground while controlling the clock and the tempo of the game. He has this maturity right now.

We can go to the playoffs with him being-a true freshman as our starting QB.
He’s too good.

The only way he starts is if G-Mac gets hurt.

Those days are over. If you're good enough you'll play right away. Its a salary based sport now.
If you're good enough. A lot of things people are saying about Fazion, they said about Nico too. So I'll wait until we a least see him practice before I'm ready to crown him the next coming.

How quickly does he process? Does he come off his first read often or where the ball is going determined before the snap?

Sorry, I have not followed him enough to know.

I have come to the conclusion we need someone that can make very quick decisions and get through progressions for our offense to thrive.

Those days are over? It's the opposite. Take a look around. Highly rated underclassman qbs are flopping all over the place, while transfers in their mid 20s are dominating the sport. Ward, Howard, Mendoza, Gabriel, Aguilar, the list goes on.

Nico's High School tape doesn't even touch Fazion's but youre correct. We gotta see how he does in practice.

He has the same issue as GMac-----needs probably 20 lbs on his body so he doesn't get hurt if he has to turn into a runner. Be realistic

First thing is make sure Michigan doesn’t swoop in and offer him 10M the day before signing day.
Then, how much weight does he need to gain, and then - how fast does his brain work? Is he Eric Ainge as a freshman ? Or Nico ?
That’s the real deal - how fast he can read an SEC coverage disguise ….

It's been a while so maybe my memory is off, but didn't you praise Guarantano as the next coming of Cam Newton?

If he's worth the money he'll play right away. If he isn't playing then we whiffed on another 5-star like Nico.

I meant the era of 5-stars sitting and waiting their turn. I never said busts would stop happening. College is now like the NFL and the more money you make the more impact you better make on the field. Michigan for example didn't pay Bryce Underwood $3 mil/yr as a true freshman to sit on the bench.

Apples and Oranges. GMac is getting paid as a 5* too. Plus he has a spring and fall camp of experience already.

If we had only two, 3 star QBs going into next year, your take would hold more water.

If he wins the job great. But it'll be a poor investment on our part of have gone all in on Faizon Brandon if GMac is the guy. Resources are better spent staggering your elite QBs. Like we did after Nico when we passed on elite 5-star QBs for GMac.

Even schools like Georgia don't sign 5-star QBs every cycle anymore. Right now they have 5-star QBs committed in the 2026 and 2028 classes. Highly unlikely they pay to sign another top flight QB in 2027.

I'm guessing the coaches don't see GMac as a sure thing cause if they did they would've saved the money in 2026 to sign other positions and instead go after an elite QB in 2027.

Never change VN.

Game 2 of him struggling ya'll will be calling him a bust and hollering to start the backup qb on the bench.

OK, so he’s tearing it up in high school, so are all the other four and five stars QBs .. this means nothing. The better question - is he going to be able to win over the locker room? Command the offense? Understand the complexities of this offense in the span of 9 months? How is his football IQ? All of this goes into the equation of being a starting quarterback, not just pure skill and talent.
