Interesting SEC doomsday article on USA Today.

I won't even spell b@ma, but the fact is ND doesn't deserve its spot.

Further the fact they put 7-3 Iowa ahead of 7-3 vols last week is utterly ridiculous.

When last week's poll was decided, this was the comparison:

Excuse me how is Iowa ahead of the vols???

IOWA: Lost to #2, #8 (over ranked OR) and UNRANKED Iowa St. (2 home losses)
Strength of schedule: 40

VOLS: Lost to #4, #5 and #12! (2 home losses)
Strength of schedule: 22

Last head-to-head fwiw was VOLS 38 IOWA 0

And we all know VOLS would lay a 50-burger on them again.

It was predictable. SOS is always going to be a manipulated number. Before the season, I predicted that the SEC teams in the playoffs will be on the road because of the 9 team schedule. In the end, a team having 0 or 1 loss will always top a 2 or 3 loss team in the playoffs. It doesn't matter if one team plays nobody and the other team plays 10 ranked teams.

The SEC bought a pig in a poke.

Not that it will come to it, but absolutely no way, if 9-3 Vols and 9-3 Iowa are competing for a final spot do they put Iowa in there over us. 0 chance of that happening. But theres also about 0 chance it comes to that scenario too. But just saying.

That wasn't even my point. I agree vols aren't going 9-3.

But my point is the rank was to boost B10.

I’ve seen a couple of articles pointing out the hypocrisy of the SOS component and how Bama is “teed up to get screwed” if they lose the SECCG.

As much as I hate the Crimson Turd, there is no way ND and MiamI should be ahead of them.
Facts. And my hate is deep too.

The tree killing, tea bagging and couch burning would be epic though.

This type of article is just the media laying the groundwork for "We need playoff expansion" which is good for their business.

Strength of schedule problems can NEVER be solved or made "fair" so the next step in the argument is: what could help?

The "solution" will be: we should expand the playoffs to let more of these teams that don't get in because of strength of schedule differences have a "fair" chance.

It isn't, of course, about "fair" at all. It's about the sports media bottom line being helped by expanded playoffs.

They need to maintain the human factor, but also include a computer or AI factor. It’s obvious these idiots on the college football playoff committee can’t figure out strength of schedule.

Exactly. I've been expecting the oh-so-predictable media cries for playoff expansion all season, and it should be ramping up now with the deadline on deciding next year's format upon us.

The media won't be happy until we have the inevitable 24-team clown show, which will only result in more blowouts leading to the expected 2-3 teams with a legit shot in the final four.

Another example for why Sankey should be FIRED NOW!

Another example for why Sankey should be FIRED NOW!

Sankey's primary job (and that of any conference commissioner) is pretty much the same as pro sports commissioners - to maximize revenue for all the member schools. Sadly, a resulting consequence more often than not these days is that his actions don't take into account the interests of the longtime core fans of the sport who fell in love with the customs and traditions that made the sport unique and great until big money entered the picture, as it always does.

Excuse me now while I go find a cloud to yell at.

Look at who their CFP rankings say are the better team today!

24 team playoff with 14 spots for SEC TEAMS(minus Vandy and KY next year). Sounds good to me

Just cancel the SEC Championship Game because of weather or some national security threat. Declare Co Champions and move on from their.
It is a joke get rid of the committee or replace them with those that have no bias or prejuide towards any school or conference. No ties from the aspect.
Let the Supreme Court decide

If the SEC gets screwed, make the big 10(12) go to a vrs. SEC/Big10(12)game for each one of their teams starting next year with their top teams having to play each other yearly.aif they won't,make each one eat string cheese and cheese curds till they have to fight to get to the outhouse.
