Coach Jumper has left the building. (So sad)

Anyhow, I likely cannot make a game thread for each game. If any of our usuals would like to take on the task I would greatly appreciate it. I love the game threads and felt they suffered when he was making them as many posters had him ignored and would miss the thread. He only started making them because, after our longtime friend who made them passed, I started as nobody was doing it and he was DEEPLY offended.

This isnā€™t the first time and likely wonā€™t be the last. Very thin skin on that one. Iā€™ve been around here going on 20 years now (scary) and heā€™s always been that way.

He was getting piled on by @Rooster1, myself and a couple others in a recruiting thread the other day. His usual MO was to throw a fit and contact Freak to delete the posts. Im thinking Freak finally got tired of it.

He has always acted as though he has ā€œinsider informationā€ which most generally was coming from parents he DMs on Facebook until they feel bad enough to respond. He was so problematic for our recruiting and coaching staff at one point the administration literally BANNED him from having any contact with potential recruits, players or coaches.

I can be polarizing on here at times but truly, itā€™s all in good fun for me. This was real life for him.

Iā€™m going Lady Vols 122 - Coppin St. 52

I think this is the game the threes start to fall. Weā€™re on target with a lot of them but they are squirting in and out. Itā€™s not like weā€™ve been missing horribly they just wonā€™t stay down. Here is hoping tomorrow is the day!

This is also likely to be the worst team we play this season.

Our defense really has looked much better this season imo. The half court defense in particular has looked much, much better than last year.

I suspect that is what we worked on the most in the offseason and early season. Makes sense that our offense and the press were a little slow out of the gate.

If we can put all three of those big picture pieces together weā€™re going to be a really good basketball team.

I fixed the time, my apologies. The game is at 2 in Knoxville. I am in Colorado and always forget the ESPN app shows the game time for the zone in which you live.

@madtownvol would you have any interest in making the threads? Youā€™re always articulate and seem organized.

It's not hard. I did it for years. All that is needed is to start a thread and include a link to game data. The rest is posters replying to the thread.

Youā€™re welcome to take over if youā€™d like.

I am a physician (shocking I know) and work 60+ hours a week so canā€™t always keep track of making them.

Outside of work this is my only true passion, thanks Pat lol.

I've been reading the threads and just figured out how to post...I liked the way Coach Jumper did the spreadsheet for the predictions, Is someone going to do that?

Thanks for the compliment but my situation is not that different from yours.

This role is ideally for one of our community members who is retired and has the schedule flexibility to reliably post the threads. It is a plus if the game thread person has a relatively conflict free persona, which also disqualifies me.

I did take over the role for a few weeks two seasons again when CJ once again had taken his ball and gone home and, per Rickster's comment above, it's not that much work. It just having the time to consistently post the game info 48 hours before each game.

Anyone taking up the thread responsibility, you don't have to do the predication score tallying competition. That is a pretty recent thing.
