"Vanderbilt is going to run Tennessee after this year. This is gonna be the new staple of college football."

They're having a good year, and they may enjoy a short run; but traditionally, they'll always suck hind tit--they'll always pull up the back third of the SEC and enjoy the spinoff money from the big boys.

Pavia brings a hunger and drive to this team. It will leave when he leaves. That's my prediction.
He’s certainly providing quite the motivation for some talented Vol defenders to outplay their underwhelming level of play so far this year. The models and lines mostly predict UT to win by a field goal or less. I believe we will win by double digits, and quite easily at that.

I don’t like Pavia at all and hope we shut him up. But he’s the type of guy Vandy needed. Confident and the team rallies around him. Freeze would still have a job at AU had he taken him in. And they’d likely be a damn good team

Vandy is gonna have trouble keeping Coach Lea with all the big positions opened up. If you do anything but fail at Vandy it becomes a stepping stone, a la James Franklin

Interestingly, their best chance to win is probably to go with the Beck-Kill run option offense and less of Pavia throwing downfield. But, amping up Pavia's passing numbers helps his Heisman chances even if it creates more possessions which should favor Tennessee. Pavia is a fun player to watch and his chip on the shoulder attitude has been a huge boost to a program as downtrodden as Vandy but sometimes his "I'll show you" desire to prove he's a legit passer works against them. I thought it cost Vandy against Alabama.
