With all the coaching vacancies in the SEC there is probably going to be some shuffling in HC moves. Salaries are going to be reset. NIL promises redrawn.
My thoughts on Kiffin was he would stay at Ole Miss. Just enjoy all the attention. That still leaves 2 big schools looking, and Ark still looking with Wal Mart money as a possibility. Then PSU May also go after an SEC coach.
After watching the Vols go into Fl and just manhandle the gators, but not really run up the score, it got me wondering if CJH may have his agent giving him back channel interest in him going to Fl. Salary would be more than Tenn may match, NIL money will increase, and recruiting field is much easier. I just thought the way Heupel called that game was not typical at all. Especially considering what the Vols had endured through the years. I thought he was very merciful. I’m looking outside the box.

More NIL money at a school who just a couple years ago lost a player because they couldn't pay the kid?

UF completely gave up in the 2nd half and Heupel knew it was dumb to press the issue. Take the win and get out
Would you have liked to beat them by 40 while we could.
At that time Fl didn’t understand how NIL was going to change football. If they are serious about winning big again, they will step up. Ole Miss did and they don’t have near the money Fl can raise.
I’m not for him going to Fl, but his calling of the game looked different.

I absolutely expect UF, Ole Miss, and others to make a run at Heupel. He's not as flashy but a better coach than Kiffin IMO. Danny will need to fend them off.

Yes. But they should have a serious conversation about where Heupel sees the future of the staff before money and extensions go flying out. I’m not saying that there should be any ultimatum about a specific coach but everyone should be on the same page.

I think the way he coached the second half was more an effort to show respect for an opponent who had clearly had enough and was just looking to get the game over with. Also, he likely felt there was no need to give them any extra fire for the next time we play them.

When I was a kid, my dad told me, "son, you grow up to be anything you like. Just be the best at it. Hell, you can be a ditch digger, but be the best damn ditch digger around."

So I see you're doing stupid. Well, at least you seem to be aiming for being the most extreme stupid possible. Good on you. Gotta be the best.

Go Vols!

Actually I thought that was pretty typical Heupel strategy the past few years. Whenever the defense is playing well, he usually dials it back and runs clock. He only used to run the score up on people when we knew that was the only way we were sure of winning

No need to getting guys banged up worse, or suspended due to a fight. We got another week to go.

Doug Dickey was accused of the same thing in 1969, when Tennessee actually blew a 10-7 halftime lead to Florida in the Gator Bowl, only to end up losing to Florida 14-13, Dickey shortly after returning to Knoxville was named head coach at Florida. And the rest is well documented history.

I am reminded of another quote. I wish that I could give proper credit but, in this case, I don't recall the source. In any event, he stated essentially that "there appears to be an upper limit on genius, but stupidity unfortunately appears to be limitless."

Don't forget to remind our younger readers that we welcomed him back to Neyland the next year with a 38-7 thrashing. In the process of dissecting the Reptilian Horde's secondary, Bobby Scott threw for a school record of 385 yards.

I guess you would rather roll the dice and start over? There are a lot of coaches who are going to get more money out of all these openings.

I’m sorry and don’t mean to be rude, but if that’s what you got from my post there’s literally nothing that I can do for you other than pray.
