As someone who has been to multiple games this year, the stadium has still been loud, but nothing has compared to the first drive of the Bama game last year. I live in Nashville, and losing to Vandy would already be devastating, but I would have a hard time handling the "Vandy fans" that just started watching Vanderbilt football this year. I know it's Vandy whom we usually own, but they are semi-good this year, and Pavia and his fans are talking a lot of ****. Just standing up causes each person behind you to stand up to see, and could influence the noise. We need to run Vandy out of Neyland Stadium this Saturday.

Vanderbilt is better than semi good. I agree with our crowd, I don't care what no one says, our crowd has been a disappointment.

Without the normal student section it won’t be the usual zoo, but it’s gonna be damn loud. I’m pretty certain of this - our fans have a chip on their shoulder about this game… not a BVS fear like I’ve seen all season. That’s a different attitude. “This is our house, you are a punk bitch, and you’re about to be reminded of it, again, and again, and again, and again.”

Bingo. This to a tee, I hope the team embodies this as well on Saturday.

I hope you are correct. We shall see

Georgia was very loud in the first and fourth quarter, at least in my section. I will concede that Oklahoma was a bit of a disappointment, again only speaking for my section which did an inordinate amount of sitting and doing nothing.

Gotta give folks something to yell about, best way to do that is shut down Go Diego Go and friends.

Given how hard it is to get student tickets, those that will be there should be plenty motivated to be rowdy. Put Pavia's offseason quote on the jumbotron for any reminders. If fans can't figure out Neyland Loud is a factor in the game, I guess some can't be helped. Everyone wants their Neyland experience as a fan. I have mine. I hope other Vol fans make theirs on Saturday.

Stadium has been quiet this year. That needs to change Saturday.
Doesn’t really “set the tone” when half of the fans behind our players bench are in the lounge area the whole game. That’s an eye sore. Secondly, Danny has limited the student section seating. Those 2 things should be addressed immediately

A lot of times we aren’t even standing on first and second downs. Only standing on third without yelling at all.

You don't have to stand to be loud. Some folks stand and just stand - no noise whatsoever.

I have trouble standing all game now - but my mouth works just fine and while sitting I can pound with my feet.

Bottom line - standing is not where the sound comes from.

I hate when you look over and half the seats are empty in that section. I also think it’s because those tickets are hard to sell compared to others because of restrictions but I might be wrong. Danny white is a great ad sports wise but he does anything for more money which I don’t like

This game is huge. A win and we shut Pavia up, put Vandy back in their place and eliminate them from the CFP. A loss and Vandy likely gets to claim that they've "been to the CFP", Pavia is a Heisman finalist in New York, and they get bragging rights for a year. There's so many little things that Vandy could gain from winning and the thought of it sickens me. If the guys come out and play like last Saturday we should be good. Hopefully they are just as fired up.

This isn’t going to be the usual casual ho-hum Vandy game where the main attraction is the circle drill and the band’s Christmas list …..

This is going to be the freakin’ Roman Coliseum. It’s going to be insane. And Vandy ain’t gettin’ out alive.

Amen, brother. I will be losing my voice Saturday. I will encourage the people around me to lose their voices. This needs to be a level of noise that Vanderbilt hasn’t ever seen in their history. I want Pavia to walk out of there defeated and disoriented from the crowd.

This is a big game. Biggest game in this rivalry since Neyland was the coach. The crowd needs to match that. Shut that prick up.

Spot on. One of the issues is that you literally cannot sell them per se. They aren't even able to be sold on a third-party site, such as Ticketmaster. Per the contract signed for the seats, if you get caught selling, they can revoke the seats. Same provision is in the contract for the professors too. Now, you can always transfer them to a family member or friend.

You'll find me as one of the ones yelling at the others every game to be loud. Some join, a lot of others sit and stare. Infuriating, as most in there don't realize how fortunate they are to sit there and don't join in.

Neyland is one of the loudest, if not loudest, stadium around. Neyland and its fans can be way louder. Both can be and are true.

Agree, people around me just stare at me when I'm trying to get them to yell. Neyland can be louder for sure
