Is what Lane doing to Ole Miss worse than what he ever did to Tennessee?

Reports coming out this morning have been wild. He's leaving but is delaying the meeting with players because he's trying to get coaches to come with him. Also, reportedly, he's mad he's not going to be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs while accepting the LSU job. He's trying to stand on a bridge that he burnt lmao

This has playoff implications involved and I'm not even sure if they will make it at this point. If FSU can go undefeated and be left out, im not so sure Ole Miss can't be left out too

Ole Miss is making the playoffs, that's not even debatable. I see his side, wanting to finish what he started. But, I also see Ole Miss not wanting him there if he's heading to a rival. I really believe this is more about wanting to finish what he started this year before leaving, but who knows

Idk about that, honestly. I'm not sure yu can say this is one of the best teams in the country without their coaching staff.

Yes it is. No question.

I'm looking at this from the LSU side.

This is like a bride or groom saying "I'll be there for the wedding but I'm going on one last fling with the ex first......."

It's not Brian Kelly doing a bad accent or trying to dance, it's Lane Kiffin preferring to continue to work for Ole Miss after "committing" to LSU.

Can they pick 'em down there on the bayou or what?

WAY worse than what he did at UT.
He didn't build.anything but hope here...hes actually built something in Oxford.

Kind of feel bad for the fans.
Way worse? he left Tennessee as a dumpster fire under NCAA investigation. They were forced to hire Derek Dooley due to the timing.

Ole Miss will make a solid hire and be just fine as a program. Kiffin also tried to steal all the recruits Tennessee had at the time as well.

I mean Idk who they can bring in and win there?

I think your best bet if you're Ole Miss is:

Brian Kelly
Dan Mullen
And maybe even try Lincoln Riley because he was very interested in the Florida job

Tennessee was not forced to hire Derek Dooley. Cutcliffe was coming, that is until Mike Hamilton demanded that he keep Kippy Brown on staff. Hamilton also interviewed and could have hired Al golden or Kevin Sumlin.

He is actively recruiting for LSU at this point. There is no way Ole Miss can let him coach when he may be trying to talk Ole Miss players into entering the portal and following him to LSU.

I lay all of this at the feet of the NCAA for not preventing the tampering of a current employed coach until the college season is over. If you fire a coach you should have to wait until the season is over to hire. Teams that have coaches hired away from them should be allowed to have a separate portal at the end of January to allow their new coach to recruit for his new team.

Whole clock is kind of screwed up. It encourages bad faith.

lol at the posts after the Vandy loss saying “we should go get Lane Kiffin back.” Dude screwed Tennessee over, tried to poach players, and yet there people were yesterday saying we should get him back. Now he’s screwing Ole Miss even harder than he screwed us, out in the open, no shame about the matter. “I can fix him/her!” “He won’t do it again!” The mantra of fools.
