I see people discussing coaching staff changes. Banks, Halze, Inge, Willie etc. Yet I haven’t really seen anyone mention, imo, the most important staff change that needs to happen. The strength and conditioning coach. IMO, he is one of, if not the most important staff members. We suffer too many injuries and our OL and DL are not strong enough. We need a significant upgrade in the S&C coach.

Come on, man...about 50 of us have mentioned it.

I've been saying this for 3-4 years. Other SEC teams just look bigger and stronger. This year showed up more as our DL got pushed around. We should have jumped when Brian Kelly got rid of Tommy Moffitt now at Texas AM. He's a Tennessee native and was at Tennessee in the 90's.

I've mentioned and posted it....We are a soft football team that needs a S&C coach....the one who spends more time with them more than any coach does and he needs to have them eating cotton candy and crapping 10 Penney nails. I've also posted the current S&C coach needs to be the first one out the door with some others not many steps behind. You can have some of the best position coaches in the game and if you are weak...soft it isn't going to matter. We flat got whipped the 2nd half against the good team....and didn't look real good against some of the bottom feeders...Vandy made us quit Saturday...That is hard to except.

We have a soft coach. If Josh can lose 40+ lbs and put on some muscle it would do wonders. It would make the team get into better shape, decrease penalties, and increase overall strength of the team.
I tend to agree. Discipline starts with yourself. A person needs to manage their weight and physical condition in order to demand the best out of others.

lol. This is as dumb as when you said Alabama was in the decline back in like 2018. If you think Heupels physique has anything to do with our players being strong then you need help dude.

John Madden was a fat man
Fulmer was fat
Andy Reid
Mike Holmgren
They were linemen and were naturally big and they looked professional ..You lead by example. Your leader shouldn't look like he came off a 3 day bender. A military drill instructor is the most spit and polished person on the base...Hard to demand discipline if you don't show discipline yourself. People can believe what they want.

You’re probably fat too

Fulmer was fat but he carried it much better than Josh and he actually cleaned up and looked presentable. Tucked in shirt, clean shaven, khakis, professional haircut. Josh needs to put in the work if he expects his team to do the same.

Bill Belichick
Bill Parcells
Bo Shembechler
Lombardi
Bowden.
Size of your belly doesn't matter. It's what do you know and can you teach it.
You think Belichick didn't get respect because he was out of shape?
I don't care what a drill instructor looks like. He might be naturally thin anyway. Him being"spit and polish" may mean something in the military but it doesn't mean jack about can he teach what he knows to someone
No one who plays sports cares about their coaches body.
Might be the weirdest take on this forum

Please explain how a coaches look has anything to do with the physicality of a football team. College football isn’t the military. Good God are you really this dumb?

Please explain how a coaches physique has anything to do with the physicality of his team. Also Heupels team has rushed for 2500+ yards in 4 out of the last 5 years.

Read better.....Nowhere was it said about physicality....It's about discipline. We are a undisciplined football team and that will get your ass beat. And a football team is like the military in getting players to work together. Wonder why it's said military teams are so disciplined when playing teams that have 2 times the athletes. Are you really that stupid?

Good grief.... Discipline and physicality are 2 different things. You not understand that? If you are not disciplined you do things that will get your ass beat...Like UT has a habit of doing in crucial situations. David Cutcliff was the disciplinarian and when Fulmer didn't have him on staff our discipline suffered and our teams suffered. Pat Summitt was a disciplined coach and her teams played like it...Warlick had no discipline and I wonder what happened? When you are allowed to make the same mistakes game after game...season after season you have discipline issues...
