Man SEC Men's Basketball stinks this year

Remove G5 teams and post their record. I mean look at Sunday for example:

SEC is freaking 1-5. UK has been dreadful. Florida was a top 5 team and has 3-4 losses already. Tennessee lost to unranked Syracuse and Kansas. Auburn has 3 losses. No one is doing well other than Vandy. Miss State doesn't even have a winning record.

Last season's SEC was considered one of the best basketball conferences in history. That meant it had a lot of experienced senior leadership. So this season's initial decline was predictable.

So let's be patient and see which talented youngsters grow fastest, and which portal transfusions find their flow soonest.

Oh there's no doubt the SEC isn't what it was last year but there have been some nice wins and I don't think the conference stinks necessarily.

GTFO with that rationale, we do knee jerk around these parts.

Right now Arkansas is the only team I've seen in the SEC that is fun to watch. Not seen Florida yet.

Well, yeah, but the 89 of those wins (not to mention two losses!) are against Q3 and Q4 opponents. The SEC is 13-32 against Q1 competition and an astonishing 3-8 against Q2 competion.

That is... not good.

Thanks. I am checking the actual scores and SEC is not performing well, even compared to years other than 2024.

Florida has 4 losses to top 10 teams either on the road or neutral
If they get good guard play they will probably win SEC--- all bigs from last year returned

Vandy is pretty fun. Tyler Tanner is a ball hawk, his on ball defense makes the entire team better and sparks a great transition game.

OOC schedules have been very good this year. I don't have the data to back it up, but this year seems to have so many more top 25 OOC matchups than any I can remember.
