Yes. I think we would have made the playoffs as a 2-loss team. We would have had a very similar resume as OU does now, and they got in.

They’d pretty much be like right at the spot Miami currently was in for the final decisions, in all likelihood.

The resume would pretty much come down to:

-beating a 9-3 team that’d be in the mid teens (OU)

-beating a 9-3 team ranked in the 17-20s (Vanderbilt)

-losing to a 12-1 team ranked #3 (UGA)

-and losing to a 10-3 team ranked #9 (Alabama).

Not sure if UT really would, actually. Oklahoma’s resume this year was:

-a win over a 9-3 team ranked #18 (Michigan),

-a win over a 10-3 team ranked #9 (Alabama)

- a win over an 8-4 team that was ranked in the mid-teens and ended up unranked (Tennessee)

- a win over an 8-4 team that was ranked in the low 20s and ended up unranked (Missouri)

- and their losses were to an 11-1 team ranked #6 (Ole Miss) and a 9-3 team ranked #13 (Texas).


In Tennessee’s case - if they were to have beaten OU and Vanderbilt - the resume would be:

-beating a 9-3 team that’d be in the mid teens (OU)

-beating a 9-3 team ranked in the 18-20s (Vanderbilt)

- losses to a 12-1 team ranked #3 (UGA) and a 10-3 team ranked #9 (Alabama).

We would have switched with OU. I think that's a fair place for us with that result.
