I thought I'd post a scouting page for those special VFLs who dabble in stats and "tales of the tape" to post their goodies and insights. But note that before #16 Louisville plays us, they face Eastern Kentucky Wednesday at 6:00pm EST.

On Sunday Louisville beat #11 North Carolina in overtime.

(Warning to BVS sufferers: This is a highlight video. Louisville's mistakes, failures, and mortal frailties have mostly been edited.)

6'2" Senior Laura Ziegler (unlike Bradshaw, a real Dane) earned ACC Co-Player of the Week for her outstanding play. Check out her stats for the week... they're impressive!

Here's my tiny take on UL, they remind me a great deal of us this year. Last year they were young team trying to find themselves especially with them having 6 Freshmen last year. Now they are better with obstacles they faced they really close to beating chicken U at home. However the goal is to out pace them, ball movement and defense. When they played against their instate rivals Kentucky they struggled with bigs with speed and has an ability to score (a Janiah or dare I say a Zee could thrive in this game). Kentucky really made them look amateur especially with The Triplets.

Louisville's game against SC is interesting. South Carolina's starters' minutes were 33, 35, 38, 38, and 38. They only played 8 players (9, 5, 4). Louisville also played 8, but their bottom 3 were 19, 17, and 12. Reyna Scott had 37 off the bench.

South Carolina shot 50% from 3 (8 for 16) and won by 2. Louisville was 39% from 3 and had 65 shots to 61 for South Carolina.

For the season, Louisville is shooting 3s on 35% of all shots, and hitting at 36.5%.

Louisville has played 13 games to our 9. Strength of schedule favors Louisville, but Warren Nolan has us as a 4 point favorite.
