Don't think he's a UT homer. Don't know the guy or his cred's. But a very interesting take and makes you go HMMM...Not bad if you have the time..

I mean it’s hard to argue otherwise. Hooker, Milton both were going no where prior to coming here. Both got drafted after being here. Aguilar idk what happens with him but he was about to be a back up, if he even gets a look as far as a pro it’s an amazing endorsement

This guy is a FSU fan, so he can't be accused of pro-Tennessee bias, but he has a fascinating perspective on where we stand currently in terms of transfer-portal quarterbacks. Let the pro- and con- debate commence! See

Compelling. One thing he failed to mention: JA didn't even have spring practice to acclimate and was still far better than the POS that transferred to UCLA. JH will still have to close the deal, which it appears he's pretty capable of doing as evidenced by his recruiting record. One more thing: based on draft experts, JA wasn't a draft prospect going into the season and is now the #11 draft eligible QB. (14 QB's were drafted in the '25 draft).

Anybody care to summarize?
He explained why Tennessee is in the driver's seat for transfer QBs. He compared Nico Iamaleava's season to Joey Aguilar.

"Nico left Tennessee... he left the Heupel system, went to an easier league, and got worse... That tells you that your coach was making some dang good lemonade from those lemons."

Then he highlighted Joey, from G5 -- at Tennessee he increased his accuracy & yards, and improved his TD-INT ratio... It's a better selling point than any other college else can offer.

Which means Josh can tell a kid:
"Look at the data (between Nico and Joey)... We don't just promise development -- we proved it -- in the hardest conference in football!"
