Hey there! Thinking about going tomorrow, despite the weather, and would like to get some insight from experienced attendees:
- Is there a Vols student section?
- Knowing how the attendance is at this event, would you recommend just a "get in the door" cheap ticket and looking for a better vantage point down a bit lower, or are they pretty strict on checking at the sections?

Thx!

I cant remember about the student section but I’d assume they have a small allotment.

In my experience the lower bowls are the only ones that had workers actively checking tickets. The upper bowl didn’t have anyone checking when I went. I’d still recommend trying to get the ticket you want though vs taking that risk.

Upper deck, club, and lower bowl are kind of segregated with the way the ramps work and they do check tickets for Club level. Within those divisions you can move around some. Bring up Seatgeek and you can see what's available and where you might could migrate to once you're in.

Can't say I've tried that but to do it you'd have to go all the way down then back up. It s not a walk around. There are tons available on UT side so you might just try starting out there.

Seems kinda like they would just try to force everyone down to the lower level maybe 30 minutes before the game start time.

Attendance for this bowl is usually pretty spartan (although UT playing does give them a boost). Add in the weather and may be better to just consolidate everyone. Avoid having concession stands open serving nobody, security, etc.

Word of advice: if you are sitting anywhere near the top of this stadium, dress warm!! Wind whipping off the Cumberland River can cut a person into! 🥶❄️
Yes, with the stadium open on the north and south ends, the wind cuts through there like an artic blast some times. Coveralls and a full facemask are a good idea.

This morning MCB said about 50,000 tickets have been sold. There are unsold tickets throughout the stadium but more on Illinois side and the upper deck on both sides per Seatgeek.com website.
