Enter into downtown from the West side. Traffic will be lighter because of the holiday week work wise downtown. It's never bad anyway during the day well before rush hour. Park in any of the downtown lots serviced by Metropolis. Just easier for those that scan QR codes or many are license plate readers and you scan if you don't already have a Metropolis account. Come in Charlotte Pike (known as MLK right in town) past State Capitol building. Once parked you have a short 10 minutes walk across the Metro Courthouse property and over the Woodland Street bridge. Do not walk over the James Robertson bridge because it'll take you nearly to the interstate and then you have to backtrack some. The Woodland Street bridge dumps right down at the north end of the stadium. When you get back to car, just exit downtown back out the west side. It'll be a ghost town when the game is over on that side.
Just get downtown well before game time and you should be fine. You can park at the Metro Courthouse (Historic Metro Courthouse NOT free parking but very reasonable), take the elevators up to the Metro grounds level and walk south towards the Woodland Street bridge. This is literally across the river
