We just don’t seem to be interested in playing this game as compared to Illinois

Nah. We’re just not very good in some key areas - specifically, on defense. Plus, until that last scoring drive, we looked like we had (yet again) forgotten how to play offense.

Seems like I’m watching a pre season NFL game, there are a few players who play like they are trying to make a NFL roster and others who just want to get the game over and head to dinner.

Honest question - why would they be invested in treating this game as if it was some relevant game that mattered?

Always the consummate excuse maker, you would still have Tim Banks here
Wrong. I'm pretty analytical on things. There was a upgrade in the coaching free agent pool out there. If it presents itself, you make that move everytime. Sadly, he we didn't do it at OC when there were clear upgrades available that could have complimented Heupel in game management decision making.

Sir, college athletics, specifically Football and Men's Basketball, is only about the money for players.
Other schools play with passion. Yeah they’re paid but when I see some of these teams lay it on the line, they’re not counting money.

One team is disappointed with the season, including the beat down at home vs their rival. Illinois is going for program record back to back 9 win seasons.

To be fair, I don't know what players are sitting out overall, so it's hard to evaluate based on not knowing that. But to me it looks like the Vandy game all over again. Play close for 1/2 and then get blown out letting the qb run up the middle for chunks of yards .

When you start the season with high expectations, the music city bowl is a twist of the knife in a disappointed season. Plus our defense was already struggling and our best players opted out. It is what it is.

To try to have some fun of watching this game, what does watching this game remind you of?

To me, watching this, the players playing reminds me of this one time I lost a bet to a college buddy and had to ask this chick out that I didn’t really want to. Surprisingly, she agreed. I picked her up, muttled through diner, then movie and then dropped her off at her apartment.

Didn’t ask where; took her to McDonalds. Didn’t ask her what; purchased two tickets to The Matrix. Did however tell her I had a good time but walked away quickly and left.

It’s like these guys really don’t care one way or another about being here. Lol just like I was.

Might have to start docking their pay for poor performance or add incentives for good performance.
It’s all about the money now. Hell you would think they would get pissed off just a little.
Don't laugh at silly questions, but are we paying everyone ? I was thinking we paid highly recruited players only, and some were playing for the game without $$.

What teams are you seeing laying it on the line in non playoff/NY6 games? No one is giving their all to win the Music City Bowl or Mayo Bowl or Pop Tart bowl lol
BYU & Ga Tech played hard. Hell La Tech & Coastal played with a lot of energy in the 2nd half. Houston played hard vs LSU.
