Just saw a Ian Rappaport announcement that Joey had surgery to remove a benign tumor on his left arm, that was causing pain and weakness. Apparently been hiding it

Unknown how much of an impact that had on him, but thankful he fought through it. All Vol

Since he doesn't know if he will have eligibility he will probably have to enter the portal until he finds out then a school will go after him. You have only so much time to enter but you can stay in for months. The court should give him a injunction.

Defense was why we lost so it doesn’t matter. Glad he is on his road to recovery and hope to have him back next season.

The judge has to grant it. He's been in college for 6 years now
He has only played 2 years at App State and 1 year at UT so technically he has 1 more year.

The 2 years he played in juco shouldn't count.

The ncaa granted European basketball players that went pro out of high school eligibility to play in college in the States.

This season was meh, but I'll always love Joey. Dude has guts.
One of my favorite Vols of all time. Came in at a huge disadvantage, said “**** it, we ball”, and gave it his all. Gutted it out and has shown nothing but love to this fanbase and the community.

I don’t know if his future will be at Tennessee, or elsewhere. But either way, he's the type of player that “VFL” should apply to.

Wish him the best in all future endeavors and if we started Merklinger this season we would’ve finished 5-7 , Joey held it together he played the game of his life against Georgia just unfortunate our kicker had to choke and we lost that game cause Joey deserved the win.
