Gilliam has spent the past two seasons at Penn State. He appeared in five games as a true freshman in 2024 before appearing in all 13 games during the 2025 campaign.

This season, Xavier Gilliam began to have a more significant impact along the defensive front. He tallied 15 tackles, 2.0 tackles for a loss and 0.5 sacks. He started two games.

Still takes some getting used to seeing us compete with Indiana for recruits/transfers, and feeling like we may not have the upper hand.
Wild isn’t it.

We need a new ridiculous booster fan. I promise I’ll go all out for the Vols if yall can help me figure out how to become booster rich.

I don’t know if much has changed.

Indiana isn’t really going after Blue Chip recruits in abundance. They stick to their evaluations and damn whatever everybody else wants.

Good rule of thumb… Go after who IU wants right now and throw $ at them. Their evals seem to be really spot on.

Indiana got the skill players they desired yesterday. Now they probably will just be really selective on the rest of their plug and play guys....

Hoover
Marsh
The RB from BC were high on their
Portal wish list.

Vandy retained the most players in the country as well. Or were near the tops.
yep

and took over 20 transfers and ab every transfer was a grad senior type player. Overhauled the entire OL doing that and put them with an older QB and TE. It was smart.

took a handful of upperclassman and grad transfer DL too.

The way I see it

Get old, stay old AND retain!

Continuity is invaluable and so is experience.

Looks like we are doing just that.

I thought the OL only counted if you recruited them from high school.
That's the standard our OL coach is held to anyway.
