I watched Russell at ton at Duncanville. Good player. But he’s not Faizon Brandon.

Yet we will spend 4 million on Ty Simpson and play him OVER a guy (Brandon), that’s BETTER than the kid who ran Simpson away from Bama (Russell)

Joey…. No question. We had a helluva offense THIS YEAR. Add an even average defense and we’re going to be fine. Coach Joey up to become even a moderate threat to RUN… and we’ll be more than just fine.

Money. Deboer is on the hot seat and if it gets hotter, that means Ty is likely playing on a bad team.

Also if Ty doesn't get a first round grade, it makes sense to go to a few schools that have coaches with a great track record developing schools. Currently, that would be LSU with Kiffin, Tennessee with Heupel, USC with Riley, Sark at Texas, etc..... Most of those schools are set with QB for next year. LSU and Tennessee are the two I would expect to push HARD if Ty opts to portal.


Also what people haven't really talked about is Ty is competing with a first round grade. Pretty sure Aguilar isn't sniffing first or second round grades.

Well, Russell has a season under his belt at Alabama (where he sat waiting and preparing) and Brandon will be fresh on campus starting his season of prep. Does that make sense? Yes, not nuts.
