Ultimately as far as qb ratings go Nico did us a favor leaving Joey ranked 15, Nico 100

Oh yeah Simpson Alabama comes in 40.

Are you shocked that Nico had a drop off going from a Heupel in what would have been a 3rd season in the system to UCLA with a staff who had no idea what they were doing?

Same with Joey. He went from a horrible staff and system to a great staff and system.

Not exactly shocking here lol.

Nice comparison. Illustrates the wisdom of teaming up with national champion qb and Heisman finalist Josh Heupel if a man is serious about advancing his game and draft stock.

This and as we've learned from Indiana, coaching matters....a lot. It's why our situation felt so hopeless. Now there's a glimmer of light on the defensive side of the ball.

He has a younger brother, Graham, that seems to be very good.
Trying to think of a younger brother who followed his older sibling and played for the same school. I'm sure it's happened, but I can't remember it. Kid might not want to follow his brother?

Clausen?

Benji but not exactly the same thing as he wasn’t a qb. (Heath Shuler for those who don’t remember.)

Happening right in front of us. Fernando Mendoza‘s younger brother is backup at Indiana

Nico and Madden. Ty is a little bit more willing to run and a better runner slightly.

Wasn't the younger brother already at Indy and the older brother transfer in and got the starting job.

college passing efficiency stats are kinda bs

I love Joey, but he threw four fewer touchdowns and 5 more interceptions than Ty.

Use the NFL pass efficiency stat instead. Joey is #11 and Ty is #10. 2025 College Football Passing Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com
