Lagway Headed to Baylor

Wish he stayed at Flarda. Throws picks like darts. Winless against UT. Much like Nico, Lagway was an extremely talented and athletic QB that likely never reaches his potential. I don't think Lagway has it between the ears. Nico doesn't either. Have to be able to read defenses and anticipate open windows now that everyone plays some version of Nickel (5DBs)Defense. Neither of those guys has demonstrated that they can do so at a winning SEC level. FWIW, neither has Arch Manning and I believe all 3 are in the same class. At this point I would take Arch over the other 2...but not for what Texas has paid him. Joey Upgrade is a much better passer than any of the 3 five star guys.

He has all the physical measureables but is a turnover machine. Maybe he rights the ship and improves.
He'll go there, get fundamentals fixed and ball out and then come back asking for a big check at a team in contention

Wish we had an idea how much Baylor paying him

I think Lagway was a victim of being a super young QB in a chaotic environment. If he gets it all together watch out!

I’ve heard reports that he’s a real humble super down to earth guy and imo that goes a long way.

Unpopular take but although he’s a project QB, I think Heupel could’ve turned him around. That’s not to say I wanted him or he was my first choice, but I would’ve trusted Josh’s judgment had we brought him in.

Baylor might be a good spot for him.

Those B12 defenses will seem like manna from the heavens after going through the SEC meat grinder. Should put up some pretty good numbers.

If the season starts going bad though, Aranda may not survive.

Would hate to have my future employment basically riding on DJLs shoulders

Not to mention that he’s horrible. He’s has Milton’s brain but without Milton’s arm and he’s very injury prone.
Don't compare him to Milton. Lagway had as many interceptions in one game against LSU as Milton did his entire senior season.
Milton't brain is 10 times that of Lagway currently.

People like to remember Milton for the overthrows...

They forget that Milton beat the mule out of Clemson in our bowl game . He was really accurate and humiliated Dabo and company. Happy for Joe and that he is a VFL

**he also put up nearly identical numbers to Nico over his full season. Didn't get paid millions either
