2016 versus 2025 teams

Do you think one was better than the other or would you call them even or about even?

‘16 team had an overtime win against Appalachia State but had wins over a mediocre Georgia and a decent to good Florida team. However, that team also lost to USCe and a Vandy with a losing record. Must add, the ‘16 team won their bowl game.

The ‘25 team only beat one team with a winning record and that was a FCS team. Also, this team lost the bowl game at this season’s end.

If teams were switched, playing against each other’s schedules, would the W/L records be the same? Different?

2016 team had much more talent. Butch wouldn’t have won 8 with the 2025 team and Heupel wouldn’t have won 8 with the 2016 team: (he would’ve won at least 10)
