Agreed on the thread title (we lost her once) @TAFMaking a push into politics. Thread title could really use some work though.
He may or may not be starting a political career. Either way, I heard a man say that he supported Israel, which is his homeland. And then he doesn’t support males playing on female teams. Whether it’s political or his personal values, he is standing for his beliefs. I applaud that.We seem to have a conflicted poster, no? Would have been great if he had trimmed about half of that, but he is no longer restricted or bound to a university contract. Sounds like he’s running for office already…
But, I don’t really like the thread title. Especially during We Back Pat week. But I do know Coach Pearl and Coach Summit were very close. He may or may not be starting a political career. …and where better? The steps at SCOTUS kind of defines that…He may or may not be starting a political career. Either way, I heard a man say that he supported Israel, which is his homeland. The guy is clearly setting up a political run. I am conservative, I love Bruce Pearl as a person and a coach. I listened with interest to the hearing this morning. but being interviewed on the steps of the Supreme Court and scoring political points from Pat Summitt, who can't even weigh in with her thoughts on the subject, is dirty in my view. He's free to do what he wants, but he is just trying to score political points for a Senate run and act like he is involved. Actually, I guess that makes him one step closer to belonging in DC.I didn't post this to be "Political"...I posted it as I feel it is/was a TRUE gesture made regarding one of the finest individuals that I was lucky enough to be around a little bit back in the day, who I WATCHED change MANY lives for the BETTER!
and she was one HELL of a Coach/Mentor/Example of Honest Human Traits...
And like Bruce said...I think Pat would have been there today!
Or it could have been a combination of knowing he was speaking to a Tennessee fan as well as it being WBP week. If it was a political move, I agree he should not do that without her still here. The guy is clearly setting up a political run. I am conservative, I love Bruce Pearl as a person and a coach.
