After the success they've had under BP wonder how patient they'll be with SP? Pope's seat also heating up quickly. Let's hope the Vols warm it up even more Saturday.

I imagine he has this year and next before his seat warms up, assuming that AU does not perform well.

SHORT leash. I was gobsmacked when, not when Bruce retired to run for politics, but when they appointed an unproven commodity as a replacement. Sure, there's continuity. But it was a huge gamble to promote the son of a great to run a major college program (think Derek Dooley). Yes, Bruce is there helping at times. But it's clear that Steven is not Bruce.
No ill will to either of them.

OP, we don't play Auburn for a few more week of Saturdays. You thinking of the Kentucky game this Saturday? Maybe this should be in the NCAA thread.

I like Bruce as a coach, but the stunt he pulled put Auburn in a really bad position. He basically quit at the last second so his son could have the job that's slimy
