I’m a bit perplexed we’ve not pursued a quality, experienced FCS QB since Leavitt and Pribula came off the board. That’s essentially what JA was.

This is the route I want to go. Very low risk and very high reward. Maybe they’ve pursued one but I can’t imagine not getting one of thats the case. I think the Southern Illinois QB, DJ Williams, is worth a look. Great runner, haven’t seen enough to know how well he throws the deep ball. Not an FCS guy but alive also been talking about Owen McCown is capable. He had some stinkers but I think it’s important to remember what Heupel does with quarterbacks and think about what some of these guys do could in this system. We don’t need an elite talent, necessarily.I’m a bit perplexed we’ve not pursued a quality, experienced FCS QB since Leavitt and Pribula came off the board. That’s essentially what JA was.
Maybe, but there's also still a of time to talk to agents, work on numbers and details, etc and then get a kid into the portal before it closes. We aren't developing relationships here. It's business and that can happen rather quickly. Not gonna wave the white flag yet. Heupel might surprise me again.I think we have arrived taking on a project this point. Maybe a serviceable backup to push our top guys. Looks like he has good size at least
