My wife and I are season ticket holders at CSU. We've watched every game he played. Had a decent year in his first full year as a starter in 2023. Did okay in 2024 but never really showed a lot of improvement. He definitely regressed this last season. Had a bad year in 2025 before loosing the starting job. That was mainly due to he was running for his life most of the time behind a bad offensive line. Even when he had good protection, he was still always throwing off his back foot. I think a lot of his problem was it seemed like he was encouraged to improvise too much. He needs a lot of work on fundamentals. I think the only thing he brings is experience. Not sure he could even be close to as good as Joey A. We might be better with what we have. I'd take him as a #2. Maybe, there is more there with a good offensive line.

How has he effed it up? The original plan was 2025 would be Nico's 2nd full year starting and then would probably go to the NFL. G-Mac would then take over in 2026. They just swapped Joey for Nico. They took a shot at Leavitt because he was there. They haven't gone after anybody else very seriously. Now they are looking for a depth piece. This guy isn't being considered to compete for the starting job.
