Great win! Where are the headlines…??

SEC Network was all about the glorious return of Bediako, nothing about the controversy. They have him making the gumps natty contenders.

They did have Ament's post game interview and gushed about his pro potential. It was also noted that we won the game.
They also elaborated on Ament becoming a force. They didn't slight us at all

ESPN wants to control the narrative and the conversation rather than simply reporting and covering the sporting events. They would like to control outcomes where they can, watching SportsCenter archives from the early 80s, the whole approach has shifted from simply covering events with highlights to trying to be the story itself, trying to be a more important part of the game than they really are.

Yep. They influenced conference re-alignment.

Watching the local news here in Tideland this AM. They covered the AU game and showed highlights, then the AL game and all they discussed was the NBA guy that was to play in the game, did not show highlights or even mention the score, ha ha. I loved it.

But check out this article about the 'historic' day for freshman yesterday, and Ament doesn't even get a mention?

Listen, I watch zero non-game sports coverage, and haven't for more than 20 years, and don't put any stock in anything the national media hacks think or say. But for a national site to write a column celebrating the play of freshmen and completely ignore a performance like Ament's, in a win no less? Bizarre.

I wonder what time it was written?

It was posted at 8 ET last night before our game began. No worries. He will get a lot of comps the next couple of days

The crux of the article is freshmen scoring 40+ points in a single game. I'm sure Ament would be included had he reached that threshold.

I know the loss with Kentucky was tough considering we led most of the game, but I felt better after that game because I saw signs of improvement since losing the 3 games in a row earlier. We're beginning to look like a team that has some fight in them, making less mistakes, so there is hope yet

Ament had a great game for an unranked team in a win over the #17 team on the road. I know it’s Tennessee vs Alabama and we care, but the rest of the nation doesn’t. Put down the orange-colored glasses.

Wagler scored 46 pts for the #11 team who won at Purdue, the nation’s 4th ranked team, on their home court. I’m a Vols fan but also a college basketball fan and was glued to that game during the afternoon. It was a much bigger deal on a much bigger stage with much bigger implications.

Clay Travis said the judge was an University of Alabama donor…

Not sure if true.
Several outlets have chimed in as well. Not big news headlines plus it undercuts ESPN headlines of the Return as well.
Not sure if the NCAA will challenge it. They should but they should tell Alabama to wait and after the season it will be addressed.

Currently he is in violation of the rules of which needs to be addressed and it will be resolved after the tournament. No play.

Is he even enrolled in school and if he is when did he start. Who pushed this through the Clearinghouse? If so, Was his eligibility denied? Is the Judge a huge donor? Should have recused himself from the case.

This was Nate Oates buying time. Tuesday should be interesting.

Just getting overlooked because we’re Tennessee.
