Uh ... so the question is, am I glad that a family of billionaires or near-billionaires is less involved with the Tennessee athletic department these days?

No, I don't think that was the question at all.
Is your insinuation that people with money produce good sports related decisions? Because, if so lmao.
I think my insinuation was that in an era where the sport is almost entirely about money, I'm of mixed thoughts about billionaires being less involved (read: "more focused on the Browns") with Tennessee athletics.
Considering how universally everyone says "we have to have the resources to compete," I find exeuberance over some of UT's wealthiest supporters being focused on other things kind of ironic. No, strike that - totally ironic.
Do you have some inside information regarding Haslem family input on coachI came across this article and was thinking about the times that Jimmy Haslam and the rest of the family used to be heavily involved in the coaching searches and hires of our beloved Vols football team and glad that is no longer the case as he is more focused on his Browns these days.
Haslam was more responsible than any other one person for the two decades of dumpster fire for Vol football.Uh ... so the question is, am I glad that a family of billionaires or near-billionaires is less involved with the Tennessee athletic department these days?

The wealthiest team surely won the NC this year then, right?
You can come across articles online. Haslam was one of the ones in heavily firing Fulmer. And he was a big reason we ended up with Butch Jones in 2012. And Jimbo was the one that tried to get Greg Schiano hired before that went off the rails. It's all common knowledge. hing hires? Or you just parroting what you read on the internet, like this site.? It’s just full of so called insiders.
We’ll take his money, just not his adviceYou can come across articles online. Haslam was one of the ones in heavily firing Fulmer. And he was a big reason we ended up with Butch Jones in 2012. Yep, Haslam didn’t always contribute the best advice on how to use his donations. But it’s a Catch 22. If you don’t get the money, you aren’t going to compete and you won’t get the chance to judge whether the donor helped or not. Personally I think it works better if the big money writes the check and gets out of the way. Pretty sure that’s how it works with Phil Knight and Mark Cuban but Haslam certainly wasn’t that way.Money always comes with advice, either wanted or unwanted.

Mark Cuban has got a ton of money. Unlike Haslam, he's shown himself to be competent at building a competitive professional team as well. The wealthiest team surely won the NC this year then, right?
Articles on line. That’s always really correct and truthful. You can come across articles online. Haslam was one of the ones in heavily firing Fulmer. However, Haslam wasn't involved with the Pruitt hire. That was Charlie Anderson if I remember correctly and that one didn't go any better without Haslam's involvement. You can come across articles online.
