That’s up $18.6 million from the $53.8 million each got from the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

The conference generated around $1.03 billion dollars for 2024-2025 sports year (compared to the $808.4 million during 2023-2024).

The Big 10 generated $928 million. Keep in mind, they have 18 teams compared to 16 in the SEC. The SEC is BY FAR the pinnacle in college sports.

I believe the B1G went 6-0 in bowl games vs the SEC this year and won the Natty while the SEC teams were eliminated from the finals.

Paraphrasing: what does it profit a conference if they make more money and cannot win the Natty anymore?

Except the big has won the last three national titles

It’s also worth pointing out they’re (the Big 10) still working off the previous TV contract (signed in 2022) despite the addition of the recent 4 schools the last two years (it’s not expected to be able to be renegotiated until around 2028).

So the $928 million there is coming from prior TV contracts still designed around a conference of 14 teams (ie, no L.A., Seattle, Portland, etc, nor USC, Oregon, UCLA, Washington factored into it).
