Sort of severe punishment for creating a duplicate thread.....but at the same time people gotta learn and its a slippery slope.
It's fine. I'll never understand why people like having discussions hidden in a giant thread that not everyone will see.
I had read the FB thread earlier and had no idea it involved Rikea, until I saw this thread on the Home page.
Of course, maybe I'm the low end of the volawareness spectrum.

Read through the FB thread on this matter. About what you’d expect. Mostly a discussion of whether his career is over. Random shots at the WNBA. One guy proclaiming he wouldn’t stay with a woman he would beat (quite a hero there?!?).
A lot of good guys actually worried about Rikea. Finally, one absolute nut spouting stuff about Satan and how women should not escape justice per the Old Testament.

Agree Lucy, there were some really 'out there' nut case posts on that thread. Probably should have just added a link instead of that thread, ha.

“And other stuff” lol. The other stuff was aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, fleeing the scene, getting in a police chase, hitting an officer with his vehicle, wrecking his vehicle, resisting arrest.

The good news is there should not be a lot of he said/ she said in this case since everything that happened was in public, some of it witnessed by police. That at least should spare RJ a little bit. What a terrifying ride that must’ve been for her. Imagine looking up and seeing that car coming after you in the rearview.

Also, I now understand a lot more about how she played Friday night. Something was definitely off. I also see the stalker is h behavior.

Her Unrivaled team was just allowed a new permanent player, ostensibly for Ari McDonald who’s out for the year. They’ve been using developmental pool players, so Im not sure if giving them a permanent quality player has anything to do with Rickea.

Apparently one can accidentally ram another person's car with their car not just once but multiple times before then striking a person with that car. Since he says he is innocent, we might have to assume something happened that he could not control. Maybe there was a freakish powerful wind storm just where they were in Miami that swept his car away and he lost control of it and it only LOOKED like he was chasing Rickea's car before that awful, bizarrely pinpointed storm carried his Lambo right into accidentally ramming her car over and over. High winds are unpredictable!. I guess Rickea shouldn't have been driving during a wind storm. All her fault.

I will say her presence of mind to drive straight to the police department with him chasing and bumping her, and that she even knew where it was, is pretty incredible. He actually committed about half those charges in the pd parking lot!

And I thank God no one was armed, except the police. And thank God they didn’t shoot him. Imagine the trauma that would have been.

Also smart that she had the text thread that she was clear that she wanted no contact. That should help with the stalking charge. I am not in the legal professional but always advise people going through conflict to use texting to document rather than to attack.

And the damage to her car, and his, is physical proof.

Again, I’m probably being over optimistic, but there feels like much less chance to accuse her of lying in this case. Then theres the whole incident w the cops. I think eventually throwing himself on the mercy is going to be about it for him. Given the facts, I don’t think attacking her character will help him much either.

Unfortunately for some notable athletes (very few perhaps), this type of psychology (attitude with behavior) starts in middle school when athletes begin to feel that they are "special" and as such above the rules governing the majority. The seeds of this produce deep roots with sports-acclaim in high school and then even more so in college/university. When being paid millions in a league (and thus rewarded for the special rules being awarded to them), the destructive psychology only deepens. I am quite sure, he feels justified in his actions. If being perp-walked doesn't shake his self-awarding mental constructs, I'm not sure what will. Character building in early teen years (if not before) is still critical - this is especially true in an age of social media, followers and "likes".
