This is a couple of days old but hadn't seen it posted. Thoughts?

In many ways, Tennessee Running Back Coach De’Rail Sims is the perfect fit for a Mario Cristobal staff at Miami. He has built a reputation as one of college football’s most reliable builders of a dominant rushing offense. He believes in and fosters a physical offensive identity.

Sources have told CaneSport that Sims is in the mix to replace departed coach Matt Merritt, who went to the Arizona Cardinals.
The other thing that could appeal to Cristobal is the work Sims has done as a recruiter. His roots in South Carolina and extensive coaching stops across the Southeast have allowed him to build a solid network. And Sims is also just in his early 40s and known for the energy he brings to his coaching.

Why make a lateral move? Could we not counter the money offer?
They're drunk with money down there. It's estimated they paid $4M just to pay off Duke for Mensah for one year + an NIL of likely another $4M. That's about $8M for a QB for one year.

If they're that crazy, imagine what they might pay a coach they really want.

He's obviously a great talent developer but I've never been sold on him as a recruiter.
Because Michigan double the pay? He is a recruiter just depends on what they are willing to pay. Im not on here to argue. I have only commented 2-3 times and never started a post so whatever negative anybody wants to say go ahead it seems normal here. Been a die hard since’85 probably not long enough to compete with the comments to come or the insults.
