This is a couple of days old but hadn't seen it posted. Thoughts?

In many ways, Tennessee Running Back Coach De’Rail Sims is the perfect fit for a Mario Cristobal staff at Miami. He has built a reputation as one of college football’s most reliable builders of a dominant rushing offense. He believes in and fosters a physical offensive identity.

Sources have told CaneSport that Sims is in the mix to replace departed coach Matt Merritt, who went to the Arizona Cardinals.
The other thing that could appeal to Cristobal is the work Sims has done as a recruiter. His roots in South Carolina and extensive coaching stops across the Southeast have allowed him to build a solid network. And Sims is also just in his early 40s and known for the energy he brings to his coaching.

Why make a lateral move? Could we not counter the money offer?
They're drunk with money down there. It's estimated they paid $4M just to pay off Duke for Mensah for one year + an NIL of likely another $4M. That's about $8M for a QB for one year.

If they're that crazy, imagine what they might pay a coach they really want.

He's obviously a great talent developer but I've never been sold on him as a recruiter.
Because Michigan double the pay? He is a recruiter just depends on what they are willing to pay. Im not on here to argue. I have only commented 2-3 times and never started a post so whatever negative anybody wants to say go ahead it seems normal here. Been a die hard since’85 probably not long enough to compete with the comments to come or the insults.

If he’s leaving for Miami, then he’s probably talented. Jakobe Thomas and Tyler Baron are proof that Miami knows what they’re doing.

De’Rail is not the reason we run the ball so well. Not saying he’s not a good coach. You need to be good or we wouldn’t keep him and Miami wouldn’t want him. But CJH is why the O is so good and will be as long as he’s here with a good QB.

We don’t need any coaches who spell their name with an apostrophe anyway. Someone whose momma was too lazy to correct a typo won’t go very far.

I like Sims. Might still happen but this has been rumored for a while I feel like it would’ve already happened. Wondering if Miami thinks this gets them in on DGG??

Why do you feel compelled to do that? Can someone not post something honestly objective in the ff that may not be delusionally positive about any aspect of UT football without someone getting butt hurt and making some ridiculous comment about negativity? It's because the highest rated player that Sims has ever recruited ANYWHERE he has ever coached is an 89 4 star and every other player he landed has been 3 star or lower. Professional analysts have talked about recruiting being his weak point and even Hubbs has publicly doubted his recruiting ability. Please learn more before you start posting again.

You are really going to talk sh@t about somebody’s Momma like that? You’re gonna end up in a TikTok video in a real life situation…just saying.

Pay him unless the kid from Chattanooga is locked. He has been one of our best assistant coaches and recruiters
Recruiting? Can’t agree with that. Huge misses on both of our 215 lbs 4.3 speed RBs from Virginia.

On the field coaching has beeen really good

There you go. That’s the sort of post he/she was alluding to and now you’ve probably hurt his/her feelings. You should feel a sense of loss for what you’ve done and attend sensitivity training. 😂😂😂 Just kidding.
