Cold bats and poor infield defense along with a hot Kent State bat equals a loss

The defense is something to keep an eye on. They were near the bottom of the SEC last seaso.

I remember saying back when Dave Serrano was the coach, this team is snake-bit. They appeared to play pretty good fundamental baseball but almost every hard hit ball went right to an opposing player. After watching game three against Kent State, I'll say this team is snake-bit and play very poor fundamental baseball. They have a long way to go before conference play. There are great offensive players that do not appear to belong in the field and there are great defensive players that do not appear to belong in the batting order. That's a bad combination with only one DH.
